Yesterday ... after bonding from 10:00 to 11:30, Larissa (our interpreter) dropped all of us off at De Luxe Restaurant and I had my first taste of Kazakhstan cuisine. I ordered some soup that I can't pronounce. It was "okay" ... sort of tasted like barbecue sauce! Ha! It had lots of tiny diced meats and vegetables in it. I ordered the pepper steak with onions and it was deeeeeeeeelicious! I had lunch with Joanie and Derick and Shannon. This wonderful couple is from Florida and they arrived one day before Joanie and me.
