Freedom!

This is a little boy who only wants to play during nap time!

Here we all are at an internet cafe/coffee bar in Almaty. Derick is sooooooo happy to have high speed internet ... he stayed glued to his computer! I got a latte and a piece of cheesecake! It is very nice to be able to walk to a place to eat and to take the kids out in their strollers. In Semey, we were told to stay locked in our apartment because it wasn't safe to go outside ... and that's what we did. Trust me when I say ... this is hard ... and after 4 weeks, anxiety begins to set in. So, I am THRILLED with the fresh air and the FREEEEEEEEEEDOM I have!!

This is a picture of our nice hotel in Almaty!

Jayne,
Although I would much rather have you home for Thanksgiving I am so grateful that you are at least enjoying your time away from home a little. We are excited about your return! Keep us posted when you find out the exact date and time.
Love and miss you!

Jayne,
I second Beth's comments!! As soon as you tell us the date and time, I will forward the info to all the people here at work! Everyone was so excited to get news from you today! I just asked my students what they were thankful for this Thanksgiving season and I spoke for 15 minutes about you and your journey! What I'm thankful for is you becoming a mother and bringing home a beautiful son for your extended family to love! I'm so glad that you have freedom now!!
Much love,
Anita

You are going to have the greatest Thanksgiving ever. You have the most wonderful gift to be thankful for. Snickers and a coke is what we have every Thanksgiving, ha : ). I'll eat some turkey and dressing for you and give thanks that you now have that little boy closer to home. Can't wait for you to be back in the USA.

Jayne,

We are all so thankful you are doing well, are in a place you can rest (well, maybe not with a little one :) , have the amenities you deserve, and are one step closer to home.

I appreciate you and am thankful you are my friend. I am so looking forward to meeting Noah. God bless and keep you both until you are safe at home!

Love,
Gloria

Ah, the joys of Almaty! Wow, they have treats stocked in your room? Sign me up - I'm hungry for a midnight snack.

That is one happy looking bunch of people.

Jayne,

I know you are so happy to be in a safe, warm place with hot water. We all wish you all could make it home for Thanksgiving but hang in there, you are right around the corner! We will say our prayer of "thanks" this year for the wonderful blessing God has given you and Noah, a bond built in Heaven! Enjoy the remainder of your trip for you will have a lasting memory to share with all of us when you and Noah return! Take Care,

Love Ya, Crystal

Jayne,
Wonderful pictures of Noah! As for the other photos...everyone else looks as happy as can be. It's great that you're with other people and the kids can get together too.

This will be one Thanksgiving you'll never forget!

Everyone in the office was crying tears of joy. One said, "Great stuff!" Another said, "With a smile like that, he has to be a good kid." And you look radiant!!!! I didn't expect to see anything on the blog today but checked it anyway. Boy am I glad I did!! To see him on the plane and buying a plane ticket. It's really happening. Love you and miss you, Uncle Wayne (P.S. Michael is having a baby...I'll explain later...)
